ATP created it's Mental Health and Psychology Department in January 2023, set up to support ATP Players on and off the court; to enhance their mental health and optimise their pschological ability
Dr. Ruth Anderson
Director, Player Well-Being
Ruth is a psychologist with dual expertise in mental health and sport psychology.
Ruth, based in London when not travelling, is focused on developing in-house psychology services for ATP Players to optimise their psychological ability and enhance their mental health.
Ruth's experience in elite sport includes more than eight years working with Tennis Australia. She has also previously held senior roles with the Australian Institute of Sport, and the Great British and Australian Cycling Teams spanning four Olympic Games.
Players are able to make appointments to see Ruth either on-site or virtually via Zoom.
All appointments are 100% confidential and are free of charge to ATP Members.
