CROSSOVER INTO BUSINESS
Crossover Into Business is a semester-long programme in which professional athletes develop their business knowledge by working with Harvard Professor Anita Elberse, and second year Harvard MBA students/mentors.

Cases focus on established and emerging firms, products, and personalities in media, sports, and other entertainment industries.
Example cases include The Walt Disney Studios, Live Nation, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, American Ballet Theatre, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Roger Federer, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Shonda Rhimes, Ninja, Spotify, the NFL, MRC’s House of Cards, Disney versus Netflix and Nike sneakers.

The annual programme, Next Step, has been created specifically and exclusively for elite athletes and military veterans from around the world looking to learn about the complexities of today’s business world. It combines in-person and online learning over six weeks in March and April 2024.

Build on and translate athletes’ real-world experience such as leadership, discipline and problem-solving into the business world

COSTS:
The programme costs (which have been heavily subsidised from $24,000) are as follows:
$2,500 if most recent annual earnings are less than $70,000
$5,000 if most recent annual earnings are more than $70,000

UNDERGRADUATE

The OU offers 120 online undergraduate qualifications to provide options for a range of interests and career aspirations. Their high academic standards mean all qualifications are internationally recognised.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Most of the courses don’t have entry requirements.
COURSE FEES: The courses are made up of a series of modules. Every module has an individual fee and are paid for as you study them, which means you won’t have to pay for your whole qualification up front. Undergraduate degree costs are around £20,000 in total; 25% less than most UK universities
FLEXIBILITY: You can study flexibly, meaning you can switch between part and full-time intensity throughout your studies.
POSTGRADUATE

The OU offers 180+ online postgraduate qualifications.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Undergraduate Degree required
COURSE FEES: Postgraduate degree costs are between £7,000 and £10,000 in total. You pay for your modules as you study them, rather than the whole qualification up front.
FLEXIBILITY: You can study flexibly, meaning you can switch between part and full-time intensity throughout your studies.
A unique, independent and fully accredited online school for 11 - 18 year olds, tailored specifically for athletes
MINERVA VIRTUAL ACADEMY
Minerva requires students to attend fewer classroom hours than at a traditional school so tennis players can spend more time training and playing in tournaments. As the only online school with a specialist team of former professional athletes on hand to help, young tennis players and athletes receive highly specialist advice through dedicated mentoring sessions to help them thrive on and off the court. This is complemented by our High Performance Club where players meet with former professional athletes to ask for advice and aims to create a community. The school can also be accessed anywhere in the world. Tennis players can travel and study whilst overseas for vacations or international competitions.
